Paws for Reading: Read to a Therapy Dog In-Person
[Ages 5-17] Paws for Reading: Kids love reading to Rocket, certified therapy dog. Why? Because he's soft, cuddly and a good listener. Therapy animals are trained by Therapy Dogs International to provide a relaxing and fun environment for children to practice reading aloud. Kids can also make a new, furry friend while boosting their confidence in reading. Children may bring a book of their own or ask the librarian for a recommendation. This is a drop-in program. No registration required.
