Culture and Coffee

Come enjoy some refreshments and learn something new, on the second Friday of each month. This lecture series will host a different guest speaker each month, covering history, culture, language and more. For adults. For this week, Radix Educational Director Scott Kellogg will discuss the work of Radix and their latest initiatives. The Radix Ecological Sustainability Center is an urban environmental education non-profit in Albany's South End. Radix maintains a one-acre demonstration site of tools and technologies designed to teach ecological literacy to youth and to promote sustainable equity. Some of these include solar greenhouses, aquaponics, rainwater collection, microlivestock, composting, and soil remediation.
