Friends of the APL Book Review - "The Polar Bear Expedition: The Heroes of America's Forgotten Invasion of Russia, 1918-1919"

[For ages 18+] James Carl Nelson's "The Polar Bear Expedition: The Heroes of America's Forgotten Invasion of Russia, 1918-1919" explores a group of 5,000 American soldiers who battled the Russian Army 600 miles north of Moscow in the winter of 1919. Ivan Vamos, a Navy veteran with experience in the Arctic and Karelia, reviews the book.

The Friends of Albany Public Library host regular book reviews, author talks, and special presentations every Tuesday at 12:15 pm at the Washington Ave. Branch. These presentations are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
