Friends of the APL Book Review - "The Serengeti Rules" In-Person

[For ages 18+] The book, subtitled "The Quest to Discover How Life Works and Why It Matters," by Sean B. Carroll explains the history in the 1900s of knowledge about biology in the small (genes and molecular biology) and in the large (ecosystems). The book is full of wild scientists and creatures like sea otters and starfish. Jonathan Skinner, retired statistician, reviews the book.

 

The Friends of Albany Public Library host regular book reviews, author talks, and special presentations every Tuesday at 12:15 pm at the Washington Ave. Branch. These presentations are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
