FFAPL Mid-Winter CD & DVD Sale!

FFAPL Mid-Winter CD & DVD Sale!

The Friends and Foundation of APL invite you to their Mid-Winter CD-DVD fair!

All CDs - $1
All DVDs - 3 for $1

We have thousands of movies! Something for everyone:

  • Comedy
  • Science fiction
  • Musicals
  • Foreign films
  • Documentaries
  • Children's Movies

Books and CDs too!

"Don't Friends sell books? Why are you selling movies and music?"

Of course we have books! But most of all, we have DVDs. FFAPL receives lots of DVDs, all the time from the Albany Public Library.
Did you know that there are currently 28 copies of "Avengers: Endgame" in the Albany Public Library collection? That's not unusual for your favorite new releases. But after a few months, the Library discards a dozen of those copies to make room for your new favorite movies. We know that some of you still want to see these movies. Now you can have them, forever, for less than the price of a Redbox rental. Take them to the lake. Leave them in the back of your car. Bring them with you on that long bus or train ride.

"Can I donate my books/CDs/DVDs to this sale?"

YES! We accept Books or CDs.
BOOKS: Books may be left with with the Friends of APL on Tuesday's. If you can't bring them to a Friends meeting, we encourage patrons to donate your books to our Better World Books drop bins or donate to another Friends group in the UHLS.
CDS: WE WANT YOUR MUSIC! . CDs in package only, no CD-Rs. Drop them off at the Washington Avenue branch in a box. If you can come of a Tuesday, bring them to the Friends of APL meeting in the Large Auditorium. Or, you may leave your CDs in a box with the Circulation Desk at the Washington Ave branch. Make sure it is clearly labeled "For Friends and Foundation CD/DVD sale." You must drop off at the Washington Avenue branch.
DVDs: We are not accepting DVDs right now. We have all we can handle from APL's own discards!
