Indian Music Appreciation

Indian Music Appreciation Online

[For children 8-13] Indian Classical music has a rich history as a unifying force, and from its origins & development has depth across many branches of study. Teaching artists Veena and Devesh Chandra will provide an enriching program about the history and rhythms involved in the music of India. They will discuss various rhythm patterns and show off a number of different instruments.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the New York State Legislature and administered by The Arts Center of the Capital Region.

 

The Zoom link to the event will be emailed to you a few days before the program and early Thursday, September 30th.
