The Color of Law Reading and Discussion Series - online via Zoom Online

[Teens and Adults] The League of Women Voters of Albany County and Albany Public Library invite you to participate in an online group reading and discussion series on Richard Rothstein's The Color of Law led by Albany Law Professor Serena Joyce White-Lake and University at Albany Professor and public historian David Hochfelder. We'll begin by viewing and discussing an episode from the film Race: The Power of an Illusion, The House We Live In, which will set a firm foundation for analyzing the book.  Four deep discussions of the book will follow, culminating in a combined discussion of the book and the recent online program The Roots of Structural Racism: Residential Segregation in the United States

The book is available to borrow in digital audio format, as an ebook, or as a physical book and audiobook at the library.

Registration is required, and attendance is expected at all sessions as this is a continuing series. Zoom links will be emailed to you after registration.
