Martin Luther King, Jr. Storytime and Peace Flag Craft

Martin Luther King, Jr. Storytime and Peace Flag Craft Online

[For children 5-12] Join the Albany Public Library for a special afternoon craft in commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. An APL staff member will read I Am Martin Luther King, Jr. by Brad Meltzer. After the story is finished participants will make peace flags to hang up or share with family and friends.

The first 20 registrations will have the option of picking up the supplies for this program during the week prior. There will be a limit of two supply kits per family. When registering, only register the number of children needing a space. Please include a phone number and email address when registering. You can pick up materials at the Howe or Pine Hills Branch. After you have registered, please call the branch to schedule your kit pickup. We will start making appointments for participants to pick up their supply kits starting on 1/10/22. Pickups will be scheduled for 1/10-1/17.

The Zoom link to the event will be emailed to you a few days before the program. We will send an additional reminder email the morning of the program.
If you have any questions about registration, please call the Howe Branch at 518-427-4300 ex. 5 or email at askalibrarian@albanypubliclibrary.org
If all spots are filled, you may still register to receive the link and be put on the waiting list.
