Post-Incarceration Memoir Writing Workshop
[For Adults] Join us for this Memoir Writing Workshop series.
This workshop is designed specifically for people who are post incarceration and have returned to the community.
Who are you? Who were you? Do you want to leave a record of your life story for friends and relatives or the public at large? In this workshop, both beginners and experienced writers will discuss the challenges of writing about ourselves, read some good examples of memoir, and write short essays about what has mattered most in our lives—the funny things, the difficult moments, the neighborhoods, the people, etc. Each week new prompts will be offered to stimulate your memory and creativity.
Registration is required for this six-week series, and we encourage participants to attend each session. Please sign up below, you can also call or email to register: (518) 427-4300 ext. 0497, or email us at washingtonave@
