Banned Books Read Out with NYCLU and the Upper Hudson Library System In-Person
[Adult] The Capital Region Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union is teaming up with the Upper Hudson Library System to celebrate our constitutional right to read what we want during National Banned Books Week.
A “Read Out” will feature regional notables — actors, writers, politicians, poets, and activists of all types — reading from their favorite books that have, at one time or another, been banned or challenged in the United States.
There are two options to attend this program:
- Attend In-person at Albany Public Library's Washington Avenue branch or
- View the live virtual broadcast Zoom.
Register for the Zoom broadcast by clicking the link here and completing the short form. - Registrations day of will receive the Zoom link directly before the start of the program
- No need to register for in person, capacity for the room is 50 attendees
