Guided Autobiography Writing Workshop Online

APL is offering this special NaNoWriMo program: "A Course in Guided Autobiography"
"External facts about a life can be researched generations later, but the inner life is irretrievably lost unless written during one's lifetime."
-Nan Phifer
Telling one's life story can be one of the greatest gift one offers to family and friends. This six session course will help participants get started in writing that story, or at least in writing stories about important dimensions of one's life. There will be a suggested topic for each class and participants will be asked to submit a 600-750 word essay on that topic. During the class, each member will read his/her essay and receive comments from others. Each class will finish within ninety minutes. Maximum eight participants.
The course will be led by Farley Jones. Farley is a former attorney, is certified by the University of Southern California's Birren Center for Autobiographical Studies, has written his own memoir and has helped his wife write hers.

This program is made possible with funding from FFAPL.
